DNA Extraction Kits from Blood & Tissues

DNeasy Blood & Tissue Kits provide fast and easy silica-based DNA extraction without phenol or chloroform in convenient spin-column and 96-well-plate formats. Most samples can be directly lysed with proteinase K, eliminating the need for mechanical disruption and reducing hands-on time. Optimized protocols for specific sample types provide reproducible extraction of high-quality DNA for life science, genotyping, and veterinary pathogen research applications. For spin-column or 96-well extraction of total DNA from animal blood and tissues and from cells, yeast, bacteria, or viruses
  • Standardized method for a variety of sample types
  • High yields even from specialized samples
  • High-quality DNA
  • Optimized protocols for a range of starting materials
  • Spin-column and 96-well high-throughput formats

NEB Monarch Genomic DNA Purification Kit
NEB Monarch Genomic DNA Purification Kit is a universal kit for DNA extraction and purification from a wide variety of cell types, including blood, cells, tissues and tough-to-lyse samples (including bacteria and yeast). The kit includes lysis buffers for various input materials, Proteinase K for homogenization of some sample types, and RNase A for efficient RNA removal. Genomic DNA (gDNA) is eluted with high yield and purity, and with excellent integrity (high molecular weight), ready for use in downstream applications including qPCR, long range PCR, and NGS library prep (including for long read sequencing platforms).

Beckman Coulter GenFind V3
The GenFind V3 kit is a genomic DNA (gDNA) isolation reagent kit built on SPRI paramagnetic bead-based technology. It enables purification of PCR-compatible gDNA from fresh and frozen blood collected in tubes containing anticoagulants such as EDTA, citrate, or heparin. The method can be run manually in a 2 mL tube format or 96-well format or automated in 96-well format on a variety of Beckman Coulter Biomek liquid handling workstations. Consistent recovery of gDNA from various types of fresh and frozen blood samples compared to other suppliers.
  • Optimal and consistent purity and quality of gDNA isolates
  • No carryover of inhibitors from various anticoagulants for exceptional PCR and other downstream assays
  • Process up to 400 µL of fresh or frozen blood
Sigma GenElute Blood Genomic DNA kit
The GenElute Blood Genomic DNA kit provides a simple and convenient way to isolate pure genomic DNA from fresh or aged (older than 24 hours) whole blood. The kit combines the advantages of silica binding with a microspin format, and eliminates the need for expensive resins, alcohol precipitation, and hazardous organic compounds such as phenol and chloroform.
The purified genomic DNA is ready for downstream applications such as:
restriction endonuclease digestions
  • PCR
  • Southern blots
  • sequencing reactions
  • cloning
